Figure 3. Kaplan-Meier survival curves for the study population (n=292) were plotted with R Project using mortality data collected on the 19 December 2014 to determine the survival rate of the study population following discharge. For the whole study population, survival at 30 days and one year was 92.5% and 67.5%, respectively. The survival at 30 days and one year for patients with a LVEF ≤35% was 91.6% and 67.2%, respectively. For patients with a LVEF >35%, it was 92.6% and 67.9%, respectively. These results suggest that patients with heart failure admitted to hospital have a significant mortality rate following discharge
