- Recognise the inequalities in obesity
- Recognise common comorbidities associated with obesity
- Know when to raise the issue sensitively and respectfully
- Accurately measure obesity
- Know the NICE pathways for weight management
- Be aware of the role of the GP in the management of obese and overweight patients
- Understand effective weight loss methods
- Be familiar with the options available to treat obesity and when to refer
